There’s nothing complicated about this Independence Day breakfast. Just three ingredients ~ Greek yogurt, blueberries and strawberries ~ to start your patriotic day.
For me, I’m working all day, but I’m not complaining. I’ll be at the Fort Hood Freedom Fest taking photos and sharing the fun and festivities via facebook and Twitter, so all of our men and women who are deployed can enjoy the event virtually.
It should be a fun time. There will be carnival rides, fair food, a concert by Kelly Clarkson and a tremendously patriotic official flag ceremony. Also, more than 200 Soldiers will re-enlist in a mass formation, rededicating their service to America. I can’t think of a better way to spend my 4th.
I hope you all have a wonderful day, as well.
- 1 container Greek yogurt
- 10 blueberries
- 1 strawberry
Scoop the yogurt into a bowl
Slice the strawberry into strips and arrange like the stripes of the U.S. flag.
Add 4 rows of blueberries, alternating them to leave white space for the stars.
Enjoy.
Happy Independence Day,
