Candy Cane Simple Syrup
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 ½ cups water
- 10 small candy canes
Place all ingredients into a saucepot and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. If you want more intense flavors and color, you can let the mixture cool for 30 minutes.
Strain the liquid to remove the candy. Pour the cooled mixture into a bottle or pitcher.
Creamy Candy Canetini
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add 1 ounce of syrup, 2 ounces of vodka, rum or gin and 1 ounce of cream. Top and shake until the shaker is cold to the touch. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a small candy cane.
