Candy Cane Simple Syrup from ZestuousNothing says Christmas like candy canes. This simple syrup amps up the holiday favorite for adults. It’s best mixed with vodka, rum or gin.

Candy Cane Simple Syrup

Servings: 16 ounces

Ingredients 

  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 10 small candy canes

Instructions 

  • Place all ingredients into a saucepot and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. If you want more intense flavors and color, you can let the mixture cool for 30 minutes.
  • Strain the liquid to remove the candy. Pour the cooled mixture into a bottle or pitcher.

Candy Cane Simple Syrup from ZestuousFill a cocktail shaker with ice, add 1 ounce of syrup, 2 ounces of vodka, rum or gin and 1 ounce of cream. Top and shake until the shaker is cold to the touch. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a small candy cane.

Candy Cane Simple Syrup from ZestuousFill a kid-friendly glass with ice. Fill it two-thirds full with Sprite or 7-Up. Add an ounce or so of Candy Cane Simple Syrup. Stir with a small candy cane.
