The World Food Championships #FoodChamp Challenge is still underway. The sandwich round is open until June 27. The bacon round begins July 2 and the recipe round opens August 1.
The big event in November will be here before I know it. So time is ticking. I have to win a qualifying contest soon. I’m really hoping to compete in the sandwich round.
I entered a Creamy Cognac Steak Sandwich June 5, but since you can enter more than once, I thought why not double my chances.
The sandwich has a creamy spread that just oozes out when you bite it and a fresh, sweet garnish of radicchio layered on top of turkey and cheese.
Fingers, toes and showgirl tailfeathers are all crossed.
