Ham sandwich appetizer
I’m always looking for pretty, flavorful, easy dishes to make for Army functions. These ham and honey mustard bites have been in my repertoire for years and for good reason – they’re bite-sized and delicious, just like my caprese sandwich recipe with Hawaiian roll sliders and French onion beef sliders.
The beautiful thing about these little sandwiches is that they’re super customizable. I used thin slices of ham and mustard as the base, but you can add slices of cheese, tomato slices, peppery arugula or red onions.
You also don’t have to use flaky biscuits. You can use any type of bread you like, such as white bread, whole wheat bread, English muffins or Hawaiian rolls.
The secret to its goodness is the chive butter and honey mustard dipping sauce. It can be made a day ahead, so you’re not scrambling at the last minute. Take your appetizer game to the next level with these savory ham sandwiches. I promise your guests will be impressed.
